1. 核心对比：此时此刻 vs. 普遍/反复发生

• 现在进行时 (I am doing)：用于描述在说话时或说话这段时间正在发生的事情，动作还没有完成。
• 一般现在时 (I do)：用于描述普遍的事物，或者反复发生、经常发生的事情。

对比示例：

• 进行时：”The water is boiling. Be careful.”（水正在烧开，小心点。）—— 强调此时此刻正在烧水。
• 一般时：”Water boils at 100 degrees Celsius.”（水在100摄氏度沸腾。）—— 强调客观真理和普遍现象。
• 进行时：”Listen to those people. What language are they speaking?”（听那些人，他们现在在说什么语言？）。
• 一般时：”Excuse me, do you speak English?”（打扰一下，你说英语吗？）—— 询问对方通常具备的语言能力。

2. 状态对比：暂时的 vs. 永久的

• 现在进行时用来描述暂时的状态（只持续较短时间的情况）。
• 一般现在时用来描述永久或长期的状态（持续很长时间的情况）。

对比示例：

• 暂时：”I**’m living** with some friends until I find a place of my own.”（我暂时和朋友住在一起，直到找到自己的住处。）
• 永久：”My parents live in London. They have lived there all their lives.”（我父母住在伦敦，他们一辈子都住在那里。）
• 暂时：”A: You**’re working** hard today. B: Yes, I have a lot to do.”（A：你今天工作很努力。B：是的，我有很多事要做。）—— 强调“今天”这一暂时的状态。
• 永久：”Joe isn’t lazy. He works hard most of the time.”（Joe不懒，他大部分时间都很努力。）—— 强调长期的性格和习惯。

3. 特殊句型：I always do vs. I’m always doing 这也是一个非常实用且地道的表达区别：

• I always do = 我每次都做。
  • 例如：”I always go to work by car.”（我总是开车去上班。）
• I’m always doing = 我做某事太频繁，或者比正常频率高很多（通常带有抱怨、无奈等感情色彩）。
  • 例如：”I’ve lost my keys again. I**’m always losing** them.”（我又把钥匙弄丢了。我总是丢钥匙！）—— 意思是丢钥匙的频率太高了。
  • 例如：”Paul is never satisfied. He**’s always complaining**.”（Paul从来都不满足。他老是在抱怨。）—— 表示他抱怨得太多了。

Good communication is not only about speaking. Listening carefully is equally important. People who listen well usually understand problems faster and make better decisions.
